ART 211: Grid Art

For the grid art project, I was inspired by the food art demonstrations shown in class. I used my kitchen to navigate around and find foods that could resemble a grid. I chose triscuits, because not only could I easily assemble the triscuits into a grid, due to their square shape, but they are also grids within themselves. The wheat grains in the triscuits are long and woven together to make a grid. I also tried to to arrange the triscuits so that each grain is going horizontal, than vertical, than horizontal. I could have made this grid better by assembling triscuits on top of the first stack, going the opposite direction, to look more like a graph.
